Climate Equity Lab

Climate change affects everyone, but it does not affect everyone equally. Women, girls, and gender-diverse people across the Global Majority face the sharpest edges of climate breakdown, compounded by systemic inequalities that limit access to resources, decision making, and the tools to drive change.

The Climate Equity Lab supports them to become the architects of a just and equitable energy transition. By enabling connection, collaboration, and innovation at the intersections of climate breakdown, gender equality, and care, the lab makes space for an ecosystem of connected leaders who are deeply rooted in their communities and:

  • Understand the intersecting pressures of climate breakdown and systemic inequality from the inside
  • Think and act together, sustained by the resources, relationships, and care infrastructure that make long-term movement work possible
  • Build the capacity, connections, and resources to move from vision to action
Gender and Climate Network, India

The Gender and Climate Network builds the capacity to lead, creates the spaces, and reshapes the narratives that allow women and gender-diverse people from marginalised communities to drive climate solutions rooted in their own contexts.

Here, through collaborative prototyping and shared learning, we cultivate a network that grows in depth and reach, one where systemic, scalable solutions can emerge from the ground up. We also broker the connections that matter, between communities, academics, governments, and media, so that no one misses the critical voices of the leaders closest to the crisis and furthest from the rooms where decisions get made.
